T5 on tour again! (Well for 1 week anyway)

Currently sitting on the ferry from St Malo to Portsmouth after a week in Brittany. This is / was our first proper trip away in 2014 after getting the van back from sheep repair, the wet winter and 3 months whilst VW fixed an issue with the central locking (fair play to them they stuck with it).

The overnight crossing out was one of the roughest we have encountered – 7 hours of everything being thrown from the table whilst laying flat trying to be at one with the boat, thankfully this crossing is flat calm (so far!).

We had no real plans for the week, so spent a couple of days down in Carnac and the rest on the north coast near Landeda, staying on a beach-side campsite which is one of the best we have found (Hebrideanesque but probably about 15oC warmer!), in fact if this had been last year we would have stayed for a few more days. However back in the real world now so a return to work beckons, we did briefly discuss just heading south….

We didn’t have any great expectations re bike riding however we did find some good off road trails and found one section of single track that weaved through the countryside for 5 km or so, although with our lack of a decent map it didn’t take us long to get completely lost!
